(4) 180 officials of the guard branch are serving in the Detention Facility of Korydallos.
(5) The number of the on duty guard officials in every ward per shift are 2, except for
night shift B (01.00-07.00) during which there is a one guard official per wing
correspondence.
(6) The wing with the better detention conditions (larger cells, with a separate WC and
a bathroom in their interior, hot water supply from a water heater) is wing F. In this
wing the duty is executed by one (1) guard official per shift and approximately 60
inmates are detained. In the other wings the ratio is 1 guard official for 150 inmates.

EDUCATIONAL ACTIONS
More education opportunities to the inmates via the development of formal
education structures and their supplementation by informal structures.
Throughout the year 2017 the Korydallos Detention Facility provided the greatest
number of education opportunities in its history increasing the number of trainees in
the formal structures which operated also in the previous years (Second Chance School,
Vocational Training Institute with two specializations) and strengthening informal
education structures in the other levels. […]
*They received teaching support from volunteer educators. The educational programs
are supported by the Sociologists of the Detention Facility, and the Educational
Furloughs which were granted to 14 H.E.I. students (they are supported by the
Social Agency).
